1. Define the traveler and the selling context
A business traveler, long-haul vacationer, frequent flyer, gift buyer, travel clinic customer, and airline or corporate program may need different colors, packaging, price points, and order structures. State who the buyer is and where the product will be discovered.
Also identify the planned claims and destination market. Compression socks may be marketed in different ways by different channels, so the buyer should validate product language and any professional or regulatory requirements.
2. Build a focused assortment architecture
A strong launch range might use one approved construction across core neutrals, one or two seasonal colors, and a limited pattern direction. Shared materials, sizes, labels, and packaging can make replenishment easier while still giving the customer a choice.
Plan which variants are permanent and which are seasonal. This helps the factory understand expected repeat orders and keeps the first MOQ discussion grounded in real quantities.
3. Select materials and sizing for the brief
Our stock composition is declared as 65% nylon, 30% polyester, and 5% spandex. Custom bamboo fiber, merino wool, and COOLMAX® programs can also be discussed with buyer-approved ratios. Select the route based on the intended product story, season, price point, care requirements, and sample evaluation.
Travel retail also needs clear sizing. Confirm how customers will choose a size, where the guidance appears, and how the cuff, calf, ankle, heel, and foot fit are reviewed in the sample.
4. Design packaging for travel retail
Packaging may need to be compact, giftable, easy to scan, easy to hang, or suitable for e-commerce shipping. Make the size, product type, fiber content, care information, and buyer-approved compression details easy to find.
If the collection will be sold in airports, clinics, travel stores, online marketplaces, or corporate programs, include their specific barcode, language, pack-size, and handling requirements in the brief.
5. Approve one complete retail unit
Review the sock and package together. Check construction, fit direction, color, pattern, logo, size label, care information, barcode, folding, and final presentation. The approved packed sample should represent what the customer will receive.
